How to Clean Your Oven Efficiently When You are on a Budget

Cleaning out the oven on a budget is a thing that a lot of people would like to achieve, especially when they have had quite a few guests over and haven't had the time to clean up as they went along. Oven cleaning should optimally be done after you have finished cooking, however it becomes a challenge especially if you are entertaining guests. The easy solution would be to hire a cleaning company to come and get the cleaning done, however if and when you are on a budget, that isn't always simple. So how do you go about your kitchen cleaning yourself without feeling exhausted and tired by the end of it?

Keep everyone out
The first point is to keep everyone out of the kitchen when you are beginning your kitchen cleaning. It is annoying to have used your cleaning products and then feel like it is going to be a total mess because people are walking in and out, not to mention they may get something toxic on their hands. You can do this when the guests are gone, or if it is just family and friends, let them know that you prefer to do your cleaning immediately, because it is easier to cut through grease when it is fresh!

Start with the oven
The second point is to start cleaning your oven first. Oven cleaning is often the most challenging and tedious because when food is baking, it tends to go all over the place. You need to mix some bicarbonate of soda, a splash of vinegar and some lukewarm water and blend this into a thick paste. Once that has been done, take a thick paintbrush and cover the entire oven on the inside with it. It makes it simpler to scrape off the dirt in the morning, because the paste ends up cleaning the oven without you having to scrub it! It is one of the simplest and most commonly used techniques that cleaning companies use, however they often use a fast drying agent so that it can be done within a shorter period of time.

Use good cleaning products
The third point is to invest in quality cleaning solutions. A good cleaning solution will halve your cleaning time. For your stovetop, see if it is gas or electricity. If you have a gas cooker, all you need to do is take the burners off and clean them off with a clean cloth and detergent. This will be enough to avoid doing any more cleaning. When it comes to the actual stovetop, for gas you need to take the racks off and clean them just the way you would have cleaned the burners themselves. For an electrical stove, you need to take a damp cloth and wipe over them and be careful to use extra cleaning solution around the edges. There is a lot of grease that accumulates around the edges, especially in the heating knobs, so always exercise extra caution around it.

When you are handling your oven cleaning, you either have the choice of doing it yourself or hiring an inexpensive cleaning company to do it for you. There are cheap cleaning contractors out there, again depending on how much you are willing to spend. Keep your place neat by cleaning it regularly and you will be able to keep up your cooking skills to entertain others!
